Explore the World of Fine Wine
Grab your passport and travel the world as The
Glen Town Center transforms into an international outdoor wine
tasting extravaganza. The three-day event will feature impressive
wines from around the world for sampling within informal, open
air tasting rooms. A variety of food tastings from The Glen’s
featured restaurants will be offered, as well as live music.
The Glen will also provide fun crafts and interactive activities
for children.

THE BANK OF AMERICA OPEN
May 26 - June 1 at The Glen Club
The Bank of America Open, a PGA TOUR sanctioned event on
the Nationwide Tour, will be contested from May 26 - June 1 at
The Glen Club in Glenview, IL. 2008 will mark the 7th year of the
tournament and is regarded as one of the best and most important
events on Tour. 156 Tour professionals will compete for a $750,000
prize purse, with $135,000 going to the winner.
The Bank of America Open will be the only PGA TOUR
tournament in Chicagoland in 2008.

NICKY'S WEEK FUNDRAISER
May 25 - 31
RA Sushi will host its fourth annual "Nicky's Week" fundraiser in May
to benefit the internationally renowned St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. RA
Sushi restaurants and bars (Chicago, Glenview, Lombard) will donate 100 percent
of the proceeds from the sale of various food and beverage items to help the
pioneering research efforts at St Jude to help treat and cure children
with life-threatening illnesses.

HELP NEIGHBORHOOD YOUTH
Tuesday, May 27 - Saturday, May 31
Girlfriends Charity Boutique
at the Glen Town Center
Glenview and Northbrook neighbors will donate their gently used
infant gear, household items, clothing, accessories and more to
raise money for Youth Services of Glenview Northbrook. A special
preview evening takes place from 7:30pm - 9:30pm on Tuesday, May
27. For a donation of $15, preview participants will have the opportunity
to shop early for some great bargains. The shop will be located
at Girlfriends Charity Boutique, 2671 Navy Blvd. next to Jos. A.
Bank. If you would like to donate items, you may drop them off
at the location May 5-May 23, Monday-Friday, 9am - 11am, Tuesday
and Thursday, 7 pm - 8 pm, Saturdays 10 am-noon, Sunday, CLOSED.

The Book Market at Hangar One will host a booksigning with author
Therese Gonzalez and her book: "Images of America: Great Lakes
Naval Air Station ". Ms. Gonzalez will discuss her book and
take questions on the history and lore of the famous Great Lakes
Naval Air Station. We will also welcome back author Beverly Dawson
who will also speak on her book, "Images of America: Glenview
Naval Air Station". Booksignings by both authors will conclude
our event.

new art gallery show at The Book Market Hangar, The Glen Town Center.
The Glen Town Center provides a permanent home for the Glenview
Art League to showcase the original works of local artists year-round
in a gallery setting. The new installation will feature 6 local
